Course Overview

To become a qualified ASDF Search Technician with Advanced Knowledge in a multitude of tasks associated with the search of a missing person whilst assisting and keeping safe, a Canine Handler, under the lead of Local Law Enforcement.

The Assessment in this qualification involves a variety of tasks during and after the formal training component. This includes workbook activities, practical tasks, presentations, reflections and project work.

Note: This qualification must be met in full prior to you being able to ascertain Canine Assessment for Operational Deployment.

Volume of Learning

The amount of training allocated to this certification is based on prior experience of each participant. Learners who have a lot of relevant experience may have the ability to complete the qualification in a shorter time frame. However, those new too SARR will often take a longer time frame to complete and will be supported by our dedicated mentors throughout their journey.
